Panamania aún no se ha acabado

Artistas internacionales se presentarán hasta el 12 de agosto en Toronto para celebrar los Juegos Parapanamericanos

¿Estás listo? ¡Panamania aún no se ha acabado! Durante una semana el festival panamericano seguirá deslumbrando a los espectadores con espectáculos de teatro y danza de estrreno mundial. Además, Panamania Live en la plaza Nathan Phillips Square ofrecerá performances musicales todos los días hasta el miércoles 12 de agosto, que culminará con las celebraciones de victoria e impresionantes fuegos artificiales.

Complementando los Juegos Panamericanos y Parapanamericanos, la ciudad presenciará las actuaciones de artistas internacionales como , The Roots, Whitehorse, Tanya Tagaq, Janelle Monae, Brigitte Boisjoli, Explosions in the Sky, Jann Arden, Les Chercheurs d'or, Austra, y A Tribe Called Red.

Viernes 07, a las 12:30 pm 

Nathaniel Dett Chorale – Canada’s original choral group dedicated to afrocentric music, from traditional gospel to sizzling jazz; and Debra Brown’s ‘Pulse’ – A captivating acrobatic routine created by principal Cirque du Soleil choreographer and Emmy Award winner, Debra Brown.

Sábado 08, a la 1:00 pm

Peggy Baker’s ‘FluxDelux’ – Devised by acclaimed contemporary dancer Peggy Baker, this physical movement piece unites professional dancers, passers-by and wheelchair users with the use of modern smart phone app technology.   Download the app here.
Leonard Sumner and Mob Bounce – Alter-Native Aboriginal trio that fuses hip hop with country, rhythm and blues; and Derek Miller – Two-time Juno Award winner and First Nations Derek Miller hits the stage with eclectic style, and a taste for roots and rock.

Domingo 09, a las 12:00 pm

Debra Brown’s ‘Pulse’; and Canailles – Award winning, 8-member French Canadian band composes a unique blend of Cajun, bluegrass, and rock.

Lunes 10, a las 12:30 pm

Leela Gilday – Leela Gilday is a Canadian Aboriginal member of the Dene nation and known for her soulful musical grace through song and lyric. 

Martes 11, a las 12:30 pm

Les Chercheurs d’or – Beautiful ballads accented by mandolin and violin melodies, Quebecoise band Les Chercheurs d’or is celebrated for their deep country and folk sounds.

Miércoles 12, a las 12:30 pm 

Relic and Ghettosocks – Juno Award winning musical engineer Relic, and MC Juno Award nominee Ghettosocks, join forces to deliver a cutting underground hip hop performance.
